Tokyo is well-known for its variety of innovative bars. But have you ever been to “Penguin bar” in your life? The Penguin no iru bar (Penguin bar) which has been touted on social media site as the “ideal date spot”. The Penguin Bar, located in Tokyo Ikebukuro district, features penguins swimming in tanks as guests enjoy drinks and food.
The bar is located about 8 or 9min walk from Ikebukuro station (West exit). The bar, with seating for 45 including counter seats, sofa-type seats, regular round-table seating and even a small private room, looked to be a nice size, not so large that it isn’t cozy and not too small that you feel.
And what you expect about penguins are in the big tank at the back side of the restaurant! According to the information on the bar website, the aim was to create a place of relaxation in the middle of Tokyo where people can be comforted by viewing the penguins.
