There are so many traditional things and cultures in Japan as you have known. You might know Geisha. Geisha is traditional Japanese female entertainers who act as hostesses and whose skills include performing various Japanese arts such as classical music, dance and games. Maiko is an apprentice geisha in western Japan, especially Kyoto. You can be one-day-Geisha in Asakusa. The “Cocomo” in Asakusa has a lot of kind of courses of Geisha or just Kimono makeover.
You can be a Geisha and Maiko and have photos taken. Making up whity, wearing Japanese hair wig, and dressing your favorite Japanese kimono, the studio will change you into a beautiful kimono Geisha and Maiko girl. You can have your photos taken with Japanese props such as an umbrella and a fan. Cocomo offers also outside photography plans as well. So you can have fun with nice traditional Tokyo view such as temples!
The studio is very flexible and you can be not only Geisha, Maiko but also Japanese princess, or just formal kimono style with white make up or normal make up for ladies. There are also Samurai or formal Japanese style for men as well.
It takes about 2 hours for the studio plan. You can have your photos when you leave the studio. Interesting? Yes, please check it out!
